This festive season children can look forward to meeting Father Christmas as he makes a special trip to the Chantry Centre.

Along with his team of Elves, Father Christmas will be taking some time out of the North Pole to the come and see children at his Chantry Centre grotto, which opens on Saturday 12 December.

Families can look forward to a fun-filled experience, which will include visiting the Head Elf in her busy gift-making workshop, as well as meeting Father Christmas and children will receive a festive gift.

New social distancing measures will be in place this year to keep everyone safe and all visits must be pre-booked in advance through the Chantry Centre’s online booking system at: www.thechantrycentre.com. Same day bookings will not be possible, so early bookings are advised.

Leader of Test Valley Borough Council, Councillor Phil North said: “I’m delighted that we are able to run the grotto in the centre this year and although new social distancing measures will be in place, it won’t deter from the festive experience. It’s been a tough year for everyone and bringing that Christmas magic to Andover will really help to brighten everyone’s spirits.”

Tickets cost £5 per child, adults do not need to pay. Families or social bubbles of up to six people can attend each session. Families will be asked to stand 2m apart from Father Christmas and the Head Elf and adults and children over the age of 11 will be asked to wear face coverings, unless medically exempt from doing so. The Grotto will be open on selected dates between 12 – 24 December 2020. Tickets are on sale now at www.thechantrycentre.com
