Volunteering Promo

Hampshire Countryside Service are always looking to recruit more volunteers to help maintain your local rights of way. Anyone is welcome to join and no experience is needed – just a love of the outdoors and plenty of enthusiasm! On task days, the “volunteer army” can be utilised to install new structures such as ditch crossings and gates which greatly improve the accessibility and safety of our countryside. We also have funding available to parish councils, landowners and other interested parties which can be used to convert stiles to gates, carry out surfacing works, and buy power tools – including the operatives tickets and PPE. As the new Community Engagement Ranger for NW Hampshire, I will provide the contact point within the service and am really looking forward to working with the parish council and wider local population.
