An ‘App’ for smartphones (Android & Apple) has been produced by South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) which will give you the location of your nearest defibrillator (AED). It is simple to use with some very handy features, including videos and instructions on what to do and how to use the equipment should the need arise. It lists all the units installed in Andover and the Villages and really could help to save a life.

The advice from SCAS is *not* to go hunting for an AED if someone is in trouble, instead call 999 and get them to instruct you. They will always tell you to start CPR first, and only have someone look for an AED if there are enough people around for CPR to continue. They also have the most up to date list.
So do install it for the tips and the info, but don’t use it in an emergency- still call 999.
